English Gardens Sweden AB was started by the english garden engineer and designer, James Cotton, with the goal to build gardens focusing on the material choices and craftsmanship.
The Customer experience is of huge importance to us. Through communication, passion and knowledge of the industry we hope to achieve an enjoyable experience from when that first phone call or email is received.
Whether we’re building a bin storage, wooden deck or full driveway, the care and attention for each aspect of the project is the same.
Looking for more efficient and sustainable ways to work, we are constantly trying to improve ourselves.
James Cotton
Founder & CEO
James has built and maintained gardens in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and now Sweden. He studied garden design, planning and construction at the Royal Horticultural Society in Somerset, England.

In his spare time he is refurbishing a 100 year old brewery on the outskirts of the Fulltofta national park.
Maj Lyth
Landscape architect
Graduating at SLU Alnarp with a master degree in Landscape Architecture, Maj heads all designing work. As well as this she assists in the general running of the company.
In her spare time Maj tends to her garden and goes on long walks with her dog.
Johan Hafström
Builder
You’re in safe hands if Johan is working on your project. Johan undertakes all building work and with a background in carpentry leads all woodworking projects. He has a keen eye for detail, patience and is always looking to perfect his craft.
Johan used to build wooden bicycles. In his spare time he cycles all over Skåne and Europe.
Klara Norén
Summer Maintenance
Klara is studying towards a Landscape Architecture degree and helps us during the summers with maintenance and building gardens.
She has a good plant knowledge and a real passion for the industry. In her spare time Klara plays handball and likes to go camping.

Michel completes all excavation and ground works for the team on larger projects. He is extremely efficient when using excavators and large machinery.

Simon and Kamil deliver and remove all materials for English Gardens Sweden AB. Having direct contact with drivers makes our logistic operations run smoothly. The use of their two crane trucks constantly comes in handy when navigating difficult site conditions.
